Fitchburg Fire Department recently received a delivery of two new KME fire trucks.

Both 2020 KME Panther Custom Chassis pumpers were fabricated from stainless steel and were built with the following options:

  • Cummins L9 450 HP Engine
  • Allison 3000 EVS Transmission
  • Waterous CSUC20D – 1750GPM Pump
  • 750 gallon UPF Poly IIe tank water tank
  • Multiple custom tool mounts, map boxes, hose racks, bins, shelves and more, fabricated by Bulldog Fire Apparatus.

Fitchburg Fire Department currently operates 8 custom built KME fire apparatus.  The department has standardized on KME apparatus due to the quality of the apparatus, KME’s ability to build the exact truck that the department requires, and because of Bulldog Fire Apparatus’ outstanding aftermarket service.  The Fitchburg Fire Department has 81 uniform firefighters and 3 civilians, and responded to 10,677 emergency calls in 2018.  The last time Fitchburg Fire Department took a delivery of two fire apparatus simultaneously, was in 1964.

Congratulations to Chief Kevin Roy and Fitchburg Fire Department on your recent deliveries!  Thank you for working with Bulldog Fire Apparatus and KME Fire Apparatus!
